Create a Data Source
A Data Source is a file of information supplied by the customer to assist in refining an Audience’s criteria. A Data Source may be appended from your file or suppressed from a previous Audience.
Step 1 The Home page
- On the Home page, Click the Data Sources link
- The page refreshes to display two tabs - My Data Sources listing and Files Created From Data Sources listing
- To begin creating a data source, Click the Create button, Click Data Source from the pop up menu

Step 2 Data Source
- Type in the name of the Data Source - this is a required field
- Based upon your business type, you may edit the Account and Marketer the data source will used for
- Click Save & Continue

Step 3 Upload File
- On the Data Source Import page, click Choose File
- A directory window opens so you may select the file you will upload
- Click the Open button
The upload begins processing immediately

Step 4 Map the Datasource
- On te Datasource Map page, select the fields you will be using from your file by clicking the check box in front of the Source field name
- Select the Destination field from the drop down list - IE will attempt the best possible match to your destination field
- Click the Map button

Step 5 Confirm Your Mapping Selections
- On the Confirm Mapping Fields page, review your selections made on the previous page. If any changes are required, click the Back button. This will redirect you to the Map page and allow you to reselect the fields you need to map.
- If no changes are necessary, Click the Confirm button and the page displays a processing message.

Step 6 Data Source complete
- The page refreshes to display the Data Source details. From this page, you have the option to remap the fields in your data source by clicking the Remap Data Source button.
- You may Click the Actions gear - a pop up menu will display and you may Click Edit (the data source), Create Append, Create Suppression or Update Program.
To exit from the page, click a link on the navigation bar or log out.
