Using Filezilla to create an FTP-SFTP site

File Transfer Protocol - or FTP as most people refer to it - is a standard process used to transfer files between a client's server and Intelidata Express.

FileZilla is one of the most popular FTP clients.  The main purpose of Filezilla is to make it easy for you to upload and download files from your web hosting server.  You can also edit the files and save changes without the need of manually downloading and uploading.  FileZilla supports Mac, Windows and Linux.

If you do not already have FileZilla on your computer, You may download Filezilla from https://filezilla-project.org/download.php?show_all=1.  There is an installation wizard that will walk you through the installation process.

In the FileZilla menu go to File > Site Manager.

Click New Site.

Add a custom name for this site.

Enter ftp.datamyx.com as the Host, Port 22, Protocol of SFTP  SSH File Transfer Protocol, Logon Type of Interactive and enter your username

You will be asked for your temporary password that was emailed to you. (password that was emailed to you)

You will be required to change your password and will need to reenter that temp password again. (the one from the email that was sent to you)

Next you will be asked to change your password. This can be whatever you like but must be 8 chars including upper case, lower case and number.

Enter your new password again to confirm.

You should then see that you are connected.
