Add a Marketer

Step 1 To begin, Start from Administration

  1. Click the Administration link on the navigation bar
  2. Click Marketers - the page redirects to the Marketers list display page

  1. On the Marketers list display page, click the Create button
  2. Click the + New Marketer link

Step 3 General Information

General Information for your new marketer is displayed with your account default settings.  Some customers may have multiple accounts and/or search types in their set up.  

  1. To display and select an account option, click the drop down menu and select the appropriate account.
  2. To display and select a search type, click the drop down menu and select the appropriate search.

  1. The Marketer Name field is for the company name of the marketer you are adding to your account.  You can type in a name that is a maximum of fifty (50) characters.  This is a required field.
  2. The Code field is for your internal purposes - ex: an id you assign to your marketers.  You can type in a code, word, etc., that is a maximum of fifty (50) characters.  This is not a required field.
  3. A "Vertical" indicates the industry you are associated with such as Auto, Insurance, Mortgage, Consumer Services, Credit Unions and Banks.  The Verticals field is a drop down menu.
  4. The Backer field is a drop down menu that defaults to Non-Credit data only.  If you have any questions as to which type of backer should be selected to your Marketer, please contact Client Services for assistance.

  1. The Contact Information is contact person for the Marketer - First Name is a required field and may be a maximum of fifty (50) characters.
  2. Last Name is a required field and may be a maximum of fifty (50) characters.
  3. The Phone number field is required - please enter the number as area code + phone number. EX; (123) 456-7890 or (123) 456-7890 ext. 123.
  4. The email address is also a required field and is for the contact's email address.

  1. Address 1 defines where the data will be received and used.  This is a required field.
  2. Address 2 is not required and maybe filled in as is appropriate.
  3. CIty is a required field and can have a maximum of fifty (50) characters.
  4. The State field is a drop down menu.
  5. The Zip field is a required field and you may enter the zip code plus its four digit extension if that is available.

Review the information you have entered - and if everything is correct, scroll up to the top of the page

Click the blue Save button.

You are redirected to the User Preferences page.

Note: If you have entered a company name that already exists for a Marketer...

After clicking the Save button, Intelidataexpress will check for duplicates or close matches to the Company name for your new Marketer.  When a duplicate or near match is found, a message will be displayed:This list contains all Marketers similar to "ABC ". Select the matching Marketer in the partial matches list to avoid creating a duplicate and click on the Save button. If you select an existing Marketer, no edits will be made to that Marketer, and you will be redirected to the home page.

If you select one of the partial or exact matches, no edits will be made to that Marketer.

If you click the blue Save button, you will be redirected to User Preferences to complete setting up your new Marketer.

There are four sections of information to complete for User (Marketer) Preferences.

The first section to complete is the Bureaus selection.  

If your Marketer will not be ordering Credit Data, select the radio button to the left of "Not Interested in Credit Data".  You will notice that when this selection is made,  the list of Suppliers no longer displays.

For Marketers that will request Credit Data, select the check box to the left of the specific supplier.  If you have any questions as to which bureaus should be available to your Marketer, please contact Client Services for assistance.

The second section to complete is the Products section.  If you have any questions as to which products should be available to your Marketer, please contact Client Services for assistance.

Step 10 - User Preferences - Marketing Collateral

The third section on the User Preferences page is the Marketing Collateral section.  These selections directly relates to usage types that will be available to your Marketer in  Intelidatae Express.

You may or may not want your Marketer to place orders for data that will be used in Direct Mail, Telemarketing and Email campaigns.  Select only those categories that are appropriate to your Marketer.  If you have any questions as to which collateral usage type should be available to your Marketer, please contact Client Services for assistance.

Will your Marketer be utilizing a Third Party Processor to execute your marketing campain(s)?

If so, click the radio button to the left of Yes.  The page will refresh with a list of Vendor Type definitions:

  • Vendor 1: Receiving name and/or address.
  • Vendor 2: Receiving name and/or address along with credit attributes and/or scores.
  • Ordering Agent: Placing orders into Intelidata Express and does not receive the output of the order.
  • Full End-User Agent: Placing orders into Intelidata Express and receives the output of the order.

You may add more than one Vendor Type for your Marketer.  If you have any questions as to which type of Vendor Type should be assigned to your Marketer, please contact Client Services for assistance.

Scroll to the top of the page and click the blue Save button. You will be redirected to the Home page to continue building audiences and placing orders.

Step 12 - Confirmation

You will be redirected to the Marketer list page and a message confirming the successful creation of your new Marketer will display briefly.

Please note that while Audiences may be created immediately with the new Marketer's information, orders may not be placed until all of the appropriate paperwork and agreements are in place. If you have any questions as to which audiences may be built or what paperwork and agreements are required to place orders, please contact Client Services for assistance.
